Q: What is the best way to care for a wooden rolling pin?

A: The main thing to remember when cleaning your wooden rolling pin is not to immerse it in water. Because wood is porous it is best just wiped down with a damp cloth after using. Also make sure it is completely dry before putting it away. I often sit mine in a sunny spot or pop it in the oven on the lowest possible heat for about 5 minutes.

And there is no need to oil it like you would a cutting board as the fat in the pastry or biscuit dough will help season it naturally.
